To create a text overlay, use these steps: 

1. Navigate to the page of the textbook where you want to insert a text overlay. 

2. With your mouse, select some text. You can select one word or whole sentences and paragraphs. Then right click.

3. TextBookHub will display a drop-down menu. From the drop-down menu, select "Create Overlay."

3. TextBookHub will display the the overlay palette. 

4. Click on the "T" icon 

5. The text overlay box opens. Note that there are two tabs in the text overlay box: overlay action and overlay appearance.

6. Working with the the overlay action tab, enter the title for this overlay, then type or copy/paste the text content you want to include. 

8. Working with the overlay appearance tab, select a fill color. Then click "Create" to create your overlay.
