There are two types of reports available in TextbookHub: test scores and reading analytics. Both types are easy to generate from inside the TextbookHub reading application.
How to Generate Test Scores
Navigate to your Bookshelf in the TextbookHub app.
Click on Reports in the left-side navigation panel. Then ensure you are on the Quizzes tab.
Use the pulldown menu for the course section field to search for quiz results by course section.
Hover your cursor over the start date field. The calendar widget will appear. Select the start date. Then hover your cursor over the end date field. The calendar widget will appear again. Select the end date. Finally, click on the blue Download Report CSV button.
A pop-up window appears. Set your preferences for the download, then click OK on the pop-up window.
The CSV file will open in Excel or a similar spreadsheet application. You will have to adjust the column width and row length in the document to see all the information.
The document column headings are:
- Student’s first name
- Student’s last name
- Student’s email address
- The book title
- The quiz ID number
- The quiz name
- The number of correct answers
- The quiz date
- The text of the first question on the quiz
- The student’s answer to the first question
- The text of the second question on the quiz
- The student’s answer to the second question
And so on, until all quiz questions and corresponding student answers have been listed.
You can use this document in a number of ways. For example, you can analyze an individual student’s performance and offer feedback and suggestions for further study based on the specific questions they answered incorrectly. You could also review the overall class performance on the quiz and tailor future lectures and learning activities to the areas they struggled with on the quiz.
